Subject to all applicable laws, these Rules and Regulations govern all aspects of the Contest and are binding on all entrants. 

Conditions of Participation 

No purchase is required. 

To participate in the contest organized by Leger, you must be an active member of our web panel and be following LEO's Instagram account at the time of the draw. You must also comply with the Terms and Conditions set out in the Instagram post for the contest. 

The probability of winning depends on the number of people meeting the criteria listed above.  

Location for Participation 

Only residents of Canada may enter the contest organized by Leger.  

Deadline for Participation 

The contest will run from June 1, 2020 at midnight (Eastern Time) to June 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time).    

Method of Awarding and Description of the Prize 

The winners will be determined by a random draw among LEO Instagram account followers who meet the eligibility criteria. The winner will then be contacted via Instagram's messaging system to validate his/her identity and confirm his/her status as an active LEO member. 

The prize to be won is 1 of 5 Canadian Tire gift cards valued at $100 each.

Naming of the Winners (place, date and time) 

The draw will take place at 507 Place d'Armes, Suite 700, in Montreal, on July 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.  

Method Used to Notify the Winner 

The winner will be contacted by private message on Instagram to notify him/her of his/her selection in the draw and the prize won, within 48 hours following the draw.  

Receipt of the Prize – Deadline for Claiming the Prize 

The winner will have to send, within 5 days following the sending of our message notifying him/her of the fact that he/she has won our contest, the information that will be requested to validate his/her identity. 

The winner will have to reply directly to this message via the Instagram messaging system. 

The participant will not be declared an official winner until the relevant verifications have been carried out.   

The winner will receive his or her prize in the weeks following the end of the contest. 

Nature of the Test that a Winner Must Undergo in Order to Win the Prize 

After verification of the winner's eligibility to participate in the contest, the winner will be contacted at the email address linked to his/her LEO account. The contest winner will then be asked to: 

Send us a picture of him/herself, containing Leger’s name, in order to demonstrate the authenticity of our winners to other participants; 

Confirm his/her mailing address, as well as his/her date of birth; 

Correctly answer the following skill-testing question: (25+15) x 5 - 100. 

By accepting the prize, the winner authorizes Leger, the contest organizers, to use the winner's full name, address (only the city of residence will be reported), photo or image and any declaration about the contest for the purpose of publicity, and this, without any form of compensation. The winner’s name will be posted on Leger’s website and other social media networks. 

Eligibility and Exclusion from Participating 

To be eligible for the draw, participants must have reached the age of majority according to the laws of their place of residence and reside in Canada. 

Entrants must also be an active member of our web panel and a follower of LEO's Instagram account at the time of the draw, in addition to meeting the criteria outlined in the Instagram post for the contest. 

Leger employees, including its advertising and promotional agencies, as well as employees of the suppliers of the prize or those of another party directly or indirectly involved in the contest, including their family members and the people with whom they reside, may not participate in this contest.  

Litigation 

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. 

General Information 

Leger assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, incomplete or misdirected entries; for viruses on the website or computer bugs during the contest; for technical malfunctions or problems with the network or telephone lines, computer systems, servers, Internet access providers, facilities or computer hardware or software; any error or delay in the transmission of e-mail or other electronic mailings by or to Leger or its agents as a result of technical problems on the Internet or at any other website; or any combination of the factors mentioned above, including any injury or damage to any entrant or other person related to or resulting from participating in the contest, including use of the Contest Website or the transmission and receipt of e-mail. 

Without limiting the scope of these Contest Rules, Leger reserves the right, at its sole discretion (subject to the approval, if required, of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec), to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest in whole or in part (and, at its discretion, to determine a winner or winners from among the registered entrants) if, for any reason whatsoever, in the opinion of Leger, the Contest is not being conducted properly due to, among other things, tampering, unauthorized human intervention, fraud, violation of the Contest Rules, technical errors or failures or a virus, computer bug or any other cause that could corrupt or adversely affect the security and administration of the Contest. 

Leger reserves the right to replace an item with another of equal or greater value. In the event of unavailability of the prize, Leger will ship the most comparable model available. 

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website, gain unauthorized access to another person's computer or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of the law, and should such an attempt be made by any person, Leger reserves the right, in addition to disqualifying such person from the Contest, to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution if deemed appropriate. 

The personal information obtained on contest participants is used solely for the purposes of the contest and to participate in other potential online surveys with or without remuneration. However, under no other circumstances, will the personal information obtained be sent to third parties. Please consult Leger's company group policy on the protection of personal information. 

This contest is not associated with, managed, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram. No one participating in the contest can hold Instagram responsible for any problems. Entrants agree to Instagram's Terms and Conditions of Use.
